This manual is built from the app's real interface, so what you see here is exactly what's on your phone. Three-minute start: add a child → tap a quick chip → hand them Kid mode. Everything else below.
Parents open the web address once, tap Install, and it lives on the home screen. No App Store. The app itself shows these steps to any parent who taps 📲.

iPhone / iPad (Safari)
Tap the Share button at the bottom of Safari.
Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
Tap Add (top right). Done — RankPop is on your home screen.
Chrome on iPhone: tap the ⋯ menu → Add to Home Screen.
Android (Chrome)
Tap the ⋮ menu (top right).
Tap Add to Home screen or Install app.

Look for the install icon at the right end of the address bar (a monitor with a down-arrow).
Click it → Install.
Safari on Mac: File → Add to Dock.
Tip: the kid's tablet gets the same install. Open Kid mode there, set a PIN, and it stays locked to the kid view.

2 · The Parent Dashboard
This is home. Two taps log anything; everything else is one tap away.
1 Family name and plan badge (Trial · 7d, Pro, Lifetime).
2 Today at a glance: Aura earned, requests waiting, active streaks.
3 A card per child: animated avatar, rank and level, streak, wallet in Aura and in screen minutes, progress to the next rank.
4 Quick chips: the child's most-used behaviors — one tap logs it (an Undo button appears for 6 seconds). "⭐ Catch a W" is any small win.
6 Reward requests from Kid mode wait here for Approve / Deny; approving deducts the Aura.
7 The ledger: every entry, who logged it, and ↶ to undo within 24 hours. Pass entries say "verified by coach/teacher".
8Progress — Week / Month / Year tabs: Aura earned vs the previous period (↑/↓%), taxes, screen-time W's and grass minutes, active days, best day, a bar chart, and where the Aura came from by category. Automatic bonuses: Weekly Champion +100 (5× the daily target in a week), Month Champion +300, Year of W's +1000.
9Messages & requests: kids' requests with Yes / Not now, and 💬 Send to a kid with ready templates ("Screens off in 5 minutes. Calm handoff = +80.").
8 Bottom bar: + Aura, − Aura, 🎤 voice, ↩ sign out. ⚙︎ top right opens Settings.
3 · Logging Aura (+ and −)
The sheet is grouped by category and filtered to the child's age band. Long-press a row to read why the behavior exists.

1 Pick the child at the top; the subtitle shows wallet, today's earned vs the daily cap, and the age band.
2 Category tabs: Morning Routine, Academics, Household, Emotional Intelligence, Screen Hygiene — or Aura Taxes when you tapped − Aura.
3 Tap a row to log it. Positive rows log instantly; taxes ask once, and warn if a single tax would wipe more than half the wallet.
4 Custom amount: any number with a reason ("+50 helped Grandma"). Negative numbers are taxes.
5 "Save a new repeatable behavior" turns a custom into a permanent row in its category.
6 Daily cap: after 400 Aura in a day (Settings) the app logs but adds nothing more — coach and teacher awards never count against it.
4 · Voice: "Say it, we log it"
Tap 🎤, say "Alex made his bed", confirm. It understands everyday wording (dishes, trash, teeth, tablet, meltdown, backtalk…), fixes mis-heard names, and learns from any correction you make. Works in Chrome, Edge and Safari; it runs on the phone, nothing is uploaded. "Hey Siri, log a RankPop win" is a 3-minute Shortcut (guide/10).
Say it, we log it
Examples: “Alex made his bed” · “Maya finished her homework block” · “take 50 from Alex for yapping”. Free, on this device — nothing is sent to a server.
1 Tap 🎤 — it starts listening straight away (allow the microphone the first time).
2Say the child's name first, then what happened: "Alex made his bed", "Maya finished her homework", "Alex handed over the tablet".
3 For a penalty say it plainly: "take 50 from Alex for backtalk" or "Maya had a meltdown".
4 It proposes the behaviour, the child and the value — tap Log it.
5Wrong one? The closest matches appear as chips underneath. Tap the right one — it logs it and remembers your wording, so next time the same sentence goes straight to that behaviour.
6 Nothing matched? Tap 🎤 Say it again, or Show the full list. You can also type the sentence instead of speaking.
5 · Kid mode (what your child sees)
PIN-locked, neon, and only about them. Switch siblings with the dropdown. Everything a parent logs appears here within a second, with a ding (and a voice, if you turn read-aloud on).
1 Avatar: gray at NPC, neon from Side Character, gold crown from Locked In, legend effects from Main Character. It breathes, jumps when points come in, and shakes on a tax.
2🎨 Customize me (bottom of Kid mode): the child picks their colour, rolls a new look, and switches on gear they have unlocked by rank — 🕶️ Shades at level 2, 🦸 Cape at 3, 🐾 Mini pet at 4, 🪽 Wings at 6, 🔥 Aura flames at 8. Parents can open the same screen with 🎨 on the child's card.
3📵 Screen-Time Power-Ups: the six highest-paying behaviours are all about getting off screens, with a night-by-night streak that multiplies them (+10% per night, up to +50%). 🌱 Grass Timer: the child picks 15–120 minutes, puts the tablet on the table screen-up, and walks away; a plant grows on screen and pays out when the timer ends — touch the tablet or leave the screen and it wilts. 😐 Bored? rolls three offline side quests with their Aura value. 🎡 Daily Spin: one spin a day for Aura or a hat. 🎯 Today's quests: three behaviours chosen for the child each day; all three = +50 combo. 🎲 Stakes: the child can stake Aura on their own Grass Timer — doubled on success, gone on failure (Settings toggle).
4Aura Shop (inside 🎨 Customize me): backgrounds, hats, pets, aura effects and titles bought with the kid's own Aura — no parent approval (Settings toggle). It only touches the wallet; rank never drops.
5 Rank title, level and lifetime XP — and after Aura Supreme, prestige stars forever.
6🏦 Aura Vault: the child moves Aura from the wallet into a vault that pays 2% interest every week, sets a goal (a reward from the shop) and watches the bar fill, can withdraw any time, and can gift Aura to a sibling. Parents can add a match (Settings → Vault parent match). Interest, goals, budgets, taxes and giving — learned by doing, never as a lesson.
7💬 Messages: notes from parents appear here ("Got it ✓"); Ask a parent sends a request ("Can I have 30 more minutes? I'll pay 100 Aura") that parents answer Yes / Not now — with a ding both ways.
8📈 Your week: this week vs last week, best day, screen-time W's, in one glance.
9🏆 Leaderboard: Family (siblings) and Squad — cousins and friends whose parents joined the same squad code (Settings → Squad). Only first names, family name, XP and this week's Aura are ever shared.
10⚡ Bonus Drop: when a parent picks today's double-pay behaviour, a gold banner shows it here. 🛡️ Streak Shield (Aura Shop → Boosts) forgives one missed day. Rank never drops — spending and taxes touch the wallet only.

4 Wallet in Aura and in screen minutes; streak and today's total.
5 Reward shop: green border = affordable. Tapping sends a request to the parent; "waiting for parent" until approved.
6 Recent moves: W / L feed with who verified it.
7 📣 Share a card: five templates (Rank up · This week · Off screens · Streak · Pact signed), up to four stickers, a ready caption with hashtags, Share or Download PNG. First name only.
8 Parent button → PIN → back to the dashboard. Set the PIN in Settings before handing over the tablet.
6 · The Family Pact (contract)
Pick up to 8 rules, generate, sign with a finger, save, print or download. Wording comes from age-band templates on the device; the optional ✨ AI polish is cached and costs almost nothing.

7 · Trusted Adult Pass
One link, one tap, no app for them. Works once and expires. The child's device dings the second the coach taps.

A one-tap link for a coach or teacher. No app, no login. It works once, then expires.
The coach can also scan this from your phone at pickup. Only the child's first name is ever shown to them.

Recent passes
1 Choose the child, who is verifying, the activity icon, an optional name/team, the Aura amount (default +300) and how many days the link stays valid.
2 Create pass link → copy, share (iMessage, WhatsApp, email) or show the QR at pickup.
3 What the coach sees (bottom): first name, sport icon, two giant buttons — MASSIVE EFFORT & RESPECT (+Aura) or Slacking today (0). Nothing else about your family.
4 Recent passes shows valid / used / expired. Grandparents, tutors and after-school staff can use it too.

Removes every child, ledger entry, contract and pass permanently. Your login stays; email us to remove it too.
1 Cloud sync is hidden from parents once the app is connected (your Supabase values are already built in). To see it as the owner: add ?dev=1 to the address, or tap "Show advanced settings" at the bottom of Settings.
2 Kid mode lock: the parent PIN (4–6 digits).
3 Family economy: family name, what you call the points (Aura, XP, Coins…), daily earn cap, minutes per 100 points, time zone.
4 Family sharing: your family code for a co-parent to join, and your referral link (give a month, get a month).
5 Sounds, AI polish, read-aloud in Kid mode.
6 Feedback & your data: send a note to a human; export everything as JSON. Delete family removes all data permanently. (Billing links to Stripe are built into the app now — parents never see or edit them.)
9 · Add or edit a child
First name and age drive everything: the behaviors shown, the contract templates, the default rules.

1 First name only — RankPop never stores last names, photos or locations.
2 Age 4–18 picks the age band (6–9 · 10–13 · 14–17).
3 Avatar colour; 🎲 New look rerolls the shape until your kid approves.
4 Screen curfew and daily Aura target feed the pact and the kid HUD.
5 Remove deletes the child and their history (asks first).
10 · Week-1 check-in and the Neuro-Peace Guarantee
On day 1 the Getting-started card asks how many screen-time arguments you had last week. After 7 days a check-in card asks again and shows your score. 80% fewer or better is a W; less than that and you can email peace@ for a full refund.

Before: 12 a week · Week 1: 2. That is a W. If you'd share one sentence for other parents, use Feedback in Settings — with your permission we quote first names only.
1 The baseline is your "before"; a rough number is fine.
2 The check-in appears once, seven days after sign-up; the app does the math.
3 Under 80%: keep going — most families see the drop in week 2 once the shop is right — or claim the refund; both are fine.
11 · Troubleshooting
Problem
Fix
The kid's tablet doesn't ding
Both devices must be signed in to the same account in cloud mode (demo mode is one device only). Check ⚙︎ → Test connection. Turn the tablet's volume up; sounds are on in Settings.
"+ Aura" added nothing
The daily cap was reached (default 400). It resets at midnight in your time zone. Adult passes still work.
A tax took less than expected
The wallet never goes below zero. The ledger shows "requested / applied".
Can't leave Kid mode
Tap Parent and enter the PIN. Forgot it? On the parent's device: ⚙︎ → set a new PIN (the setting lives on that device).
Voice button does nothing
Use Chrome, Edge or Safari; allow the microphone in the address bar; or type the sentence.
The Install button is missing
The app is already installed (opened from the home screen), or you're in a browser that doesn't support it — use the manual steps in section 1.
Coach page says "This link isn't valid" or "opens from a pass link"
The page was opened without a code. It only works from a pass link (Adult pass → Create → Open/Share). Passes also work once and expire — create a new one; the coach must tap the exact link, not type the address.
Contract download is blank
Generate first, then Download. Safari: use Print → Save as PDF.
Trial badge says Inactive
The plan lapsed or a payment failed. Use the banner's Keep RankPop button; logging still works while it's inactive.

⚙︎ → Export my data (JSON). To delete everything: ⚙︎ → Delete family.
