This manual is built from the app's real interface, so what you see here is exactly what's on your phone. Three-minute start: add a child → tap a quick chip → hand them Kid mode. Everything else below.

1 · Sign in, or install it like an app

Parents open the web address once, tap Install, and it lives on the home screen. No App Store. The app itself shows these steps to any parent who taps 📲.

2 · The Parent Dashboard

This is home. Two taps log anything; everything else is one tap away.

3 · Logging Aura (+ and −)

The sheet is grouped by category and filtered to the child's age band. Long-press a row to read why the behavior exists.

4 · Voice: "Say it, we log it"

Tap 🎤, say "Alex made his bed", confirm. It understands everyday wording (dishes, trash, teeth, tablet, meltdown, backtalk…), fixes mis-heard names, and learns from any correction you make. Works in Chrome, Edge and Safari; it runs on the phone, nothing is uploaded. "Hey Siri, log a RankPop win" works too, with a three-minute Siri Shortcut.

5 · Kid mode (what your child sees)

PIN-locked, neon, and only about them. Switch siblings with the dropdown. Everything a parent logs appears here within a second, with a ding (and a voice, if you turn read-aloud on).

6 · The Family Pact (contract)

Pick up to 8 rules, generate, sign with a finger, save, print or download. Wording comes from age-band templates on the device; the optional ✨ AI polish takes a second.

7 · Trusted Adult Pass

One link, one tap, no app for them. Works once and expires. The child's device dings the second the coach taps. In Settings it now lives under Stickers from grown-ups as One-time sticker pass — the flow is unchanged. For a standing QR code that works every day (a dentist's desk, a coach's clipboard, grandma's fridge, the babysitter's phone), see section 13.

9 · Add or edit a child

First name and age drive everything: the behaviors shown, the contract templates, the default rules.

10 · Week-1 check-in and the Neuro-Peace Guarantee

On day 1 the Getting-started card asks how many screen-time arguments you had last week. After 7 days a check-in card asks again and shows your score. 80% fewer or better is a W; less than that and you can use the contact form and choose Refund request for a full refund.

Dentists give stickers. Coaches, teachers, grandparents and babysitters give praise. RankPop turns that into a digital sticker with points attached, from any trusted grown-up (a Sticker Station) — a coach, teacher, dentist, pediatrician, grandparent, babysitter, tutor, camp counselor, scout leader, librarian, anyone in your kid's corner. One scan, no app, no account, never charged, and the grown-up never sees anything about your child.

1. 1 Sticker Book (Kid mode): a grid of every sticker with the grown-up's name and the date. Until the first one arrives it says "Ask any grown-up — coach, teacher, dentist, grandma — for a RankPop sticker".
2. 2 Sticker Stations: a printed QR code sign for a place or a person (rankpop.app/s/their-name) — a dentist's desk, a classroom, a scout troop, a barber shop, grandma's fridge. Step 1: the grown-up puts the sign out. Step 2: when a kid does well the grown-up points at a sticker on it — a sign can hold ready-made ones like Good visit +50, Great job +100, Amazing +200 and Superstar +300, each with its own QR code. Step 3: the family scans that one with the parent's phone (or the kid's own tablet, if it is signed in to the parent's account), taps the child's name, and the sticker lands in that child's Sticker Book with the grown-up's name and the date on it. The grown-up never taps anything, is never charged and never sees a child's name. One sticker per child per station per day. Grown-ups on the go can use tap mode: the grown-up shows a 4-digit code that works for 15 minutes.
3. 3 Parent card: ⚙︎ → Stickers from grown-ups. Invite a grown-up shares a ready-made message (free for them, no app, no account, no kid data). The one-time pass from section 7 lives here as One-time sticker pass.
4. 4 What the grown-up sees: nothing about the child. A station sees how many stickers it gave today and in total, and — for group stations (coach, teacher, school, tutor, faith community, camp, scouts, music, arts) — how many families joined its code. Counts only, never a name.
5. 5 No RankPop family yet? The sticker is saved on that phone. Sign up, add your first child, and it is claimed automatically.
6. 6 Sticker points work like coach and teacher passes: they never count against the daily cap (section 3), and rank never drops.
7. 7 The sticker album: there are 216 stickers to collect, and the Sticker Book keeps an empty slot for every one your child has not found yet, so they can see what is still out there. Badges arrive for collecting more stickers and for meeting new grown-ups who give them.
8. 8 Ask a grown-up (Kid mode): a button that puts a QR code on the screen. Any grown-up can scan it with their own phone and start their own free Sticker Station in about two minutes — no app, no account, never charged.

14 · Words your family uses

Not every family, class or office wants Gen Alpha slang. Pick a word style once and every rank name, W/L word, group word and behavior label follows it.

1. 1 ⚙︎ → Words your family uses → Word style: Gen Alpha (NPC → Aura Supreme · W / L · Aura · Squad · slang labels) · Classic (Rookie → Hall of Fame · Win / Oops · Stars · Team · plain names) · Plain (Level 1 → Level 8 · Win / Setback · Points · Group · plain names) · Custom (starts as a copy of the style you picked; edit all 8 rank names, the win word, the loss word, the group word and the points word).
2. 2 Points word: switching styles pre-fills it with the pack's default (Aura, Stars, Points); change it any time.
3. 3 What we call our group: Squad / Team / Class / Crew / Club / Troop, or your own word. Join a group station's code (a coach, teacher, school, tutor, faith community, camp, scouts, music or arts teacher) and the group name pre-fills from their station unless you already set your own.
4. 4 Kid mode cannot change words. Ranks and their thresholds never change — only what they are called.

15 · What kids can spend on

Screen time isn't the only prize. Rewards are the things kids love — treats, toys, experiences, privileges — and screen time only if you say so. You choose which categories your kids can see.

1. 1 ⚙︎ → What can kids spend Aura on? — five switches: Treats & snacks, Toys & things, Experiences & outings, Privileges, Screen time. (Money follows Privileges.)
2. 2 New families start with Screen time off: your child sees treats, toys, outings and privileges first. Families from before this update keep what they had on, so nothing changes for them.
3. 3 Tip: screen time works best as one prize among many, not the main one.
4. 4 The kid shop shows only the categories you switched on, in this order: Treats, Toys, Experiences, Privileges, Money, Screen. The Getting-started checklist asks the same question once.

16 · Losses and Repair

A loss (L, Oops or Setback — your word style decides) is for teaching, not for shaming — and that loss word is the only name it ever gets on your kid's screen.

1. 1 − Aura groups losses by tier: Small (−10 to −20) · Rule breaks (−30 to −50) · Honesty & respect (−60 to −80) · Safety & serious (−100 to −150). Kid labels are short and honest, never mocking.
2. 2 A loss can never push the wallet below zero — the ledger shows "requested / applied". Rank and lifetime XP never drop.
3. 3 Made it right: for 24 hours after a loss, that entry on the parent's ledger shows a Made it right button. Tap it once your child has fixed things and RankPop logs one positive entry worth about half the loss (rounded to the nearest 10). One repair per loss.
4. 4 Say it out loud when you log it: "You can earn about half of that back today by making it right."

17 · Yearly plan

Free 7-day trial first. Then pick what fits.

18 · Delete my family

Your data is yours. Export it any time; deleting is permanent and takes seconds.

1. 1 ⚙︎ → scroll to the bottom → Delete family. Cancel an active subscription first (Manage billing) — the button refuses while one is running.
2. 2 Type DELETE (all capitals) in the confirmation box.
3. 3 What is deleted: every child, every ledger entry, reward requests, contracts, messages and photos, one-time passes, stickers, referral records and the family itself.
4. 4 Every parent's login is removed too, and copies in backups are cleared within 30 days. To use RankPop again, create a new account.
5. 5 Sticker Stations keep only counts — nothing about your child was ever there, so there is nothing to delete on their side.
